Quality Assurance Software Specialist
Principal Responsibilities
Work in a team-oriented environment with researchers and applications developers on HTRI’s software products.
- Coordinate QA process
- Create/document test plans for complete and accurate testing of software
- Increase testing efficiency and accuracy by developing and using automation techniques
- Perform ongoing quality assurance testing, including pre-release testing
- Create, review, and/or track quality control packages
- Assist in resolving customer inquiries
- Identify, track, and validate corrections to software defects; document resolution or workarounds for end-users
- Confirm documentation for all modifications to software code and user interfaces
- Coordinate development of internal and end-user documentation
- Review and contribute to online help
Qualifications
- BS in chemical or mechanical engineering OR in computer science
- Three years’ experience in quality assurance in software applications using Microsoft® Windows-based application development
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Good communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
