Committees and Task Forces

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

To provide a forum for input and to update members on the technical program, HTRI holds meetings annually at locations throughout the world.

Each member company is entitled to designate one individual to serve on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and to be the official contact for their company on technical matters. The TAC advises the Board of Directors on technical matters, works with the staff in determining the HTRI technical program, and assists in the ongoing review of the progress and results of the technical program.

In addition, each year the TAC elects a Chair, a Vice Chair, and a subcommittee known as the Technical Committee (TC).

Communication Committees (CCs)

HTRI Communication Committees provide an official forum for members in geographic proximity. These member-initiated and member-managed committees facilitate and formalize input, helping our customers throughout the world communicate their opinions and needs to HTRI.

Task Forces (TFs)

Task Forces provide a forum to utilize member expertise in problem solving, developing project direction, and/or executing the technical program. TF members may include representatives of stockholders, licensees, and participating affiliates, as well as non-HTRI affiliated authorities in specific fields. This broad base of potential task force participants offers HTRI a high level of expertise and helps ensure that research and development efforts have industrial relevance.
